What customers say about us

First time there and came with a party of 15. I didn't have high expectations, but i was wrong about that. We had a verity of food between us and everyone was very happy with their food. My daughter who's a small framed girl pretty much ate her weight in catfish. This morning she's asking to go back. I had the cheeseburger and have no complaints about it. My family and friends will be encouraged to go there for sure. Oh our service was on point, always with a smile and never an empty cup.

This place has been here for DECADES. We've driven past this place a lot over the years. We finally stopped as we were in the area and it was dinner time. Time forgot this place. This is the roadside place you hear about where the food and the decor hasn't been updated in decades. This is not a bad thing necessarily as I suspect you're not stopping in to look at the walls and interpret the artwork. Lots of locals in this place. Folks walking in and calling each other by first names was not an uncommon thing. This place filled up while we were sitting there but I didn't notice a wait. Heads up - They push the AYCE catfish HARD. They do Catfish really well. It would be hard not to considering how much of the stuff comes out of the kitchen. It's good and tastes clean so I'm assuming it's farm raised and not fresh caught. The batter is typical corn meal and it's deep fried as it should be. PROTIP: Unless you have a plan to walk out of this place absolutely miserable with the all you can eat plan stick with the single catfish plate, it has plenty on it with the accompanying sides and bread. Save yourself a couple bucks. You should make a stop in here if time allows. It's easy off and on I-40 and not fast food.

Food was really good. CatFish could have been cooked for just a minute more? Prices are reasonable as well. Service was great. Very friendly, family run. 89 yr old youngster still running it day to day!

Had a great meal tonight - catfish, fried okra, onion rings and pinto beans. Everything cooked properly and tasted great. Finished the meal with some blackberry cobbler (my favorite dessert). Server was excellent, too. Love this spot and so do a bunch of locals.

Excellent catfish dinner. I chose the all-you-can-eat dinner. It was $2 more than the regular catfish dinner. You can choose fried or grilled. I chose the grilled. You get three sides and a roll. Service was excellent, and so was the food. My total bill with an ice tea was $18.64 . This was the best stop that I just happened upon. It was next to a gas station that I had pulled into for a fill-up. The restaurant parking lot was full, so I gave it a try. I'm glad I did.
